Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Program Coordinator, Student Government Events. Reporting to the Associate Director of Student Government, this position educates and advises students on event planning and coordination for campus-wide programs, including ASUN events, as well as IDEA, Sustainability, and Wellness initiatives. The Coordinator manages event logistics, communication, outreach, and administrative processes to ensure successful program execution. Responsibilities include coordinating meetings and events, maintaining records, ensuring policy compliance, and serving as a key contact for students and campus partners. The role also supports assessment and reporting, budget tracking, and special projects that advance Student Government programming and engagement.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at facilitating communication across diverse stakeholders while supporting program objectives and fostering civic engagement on campus and beyond.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of related work experience OR

Master’s Degree and one (1) year of related work experience


Related Experience: Student development in higher education, civic engagement, advising of student organizations, and event planning and management or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated leadership in program development

Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and drive results

Schedule or Travel Requirements

Occasional Travel

Variable work schedule (including nights and weekends)

Administrative Faculty – B
