About the role

The Associate Principal Analyst, Member Supervision Executive Reporting is a member of Member Supervision’s Strategy, Execution and Program Risk team and will support the Department’s executive reporting and related initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and delivering compelling and intuitive analytics-based solutions, including dashboards and data visualizations designed to inform Member Supervision’s strategic objectives.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Works with senior program managers to understand objectives, strategies, and goals.
  • Assists in the development, implementation, and management of Member Supervision’s Executive Reporting program.
  • Supports Member Supervision leaders in crafting compelling data-driven stories on Regulatory Program effectiveness, progress related to strategic initiatives, and benefits of capital investments through data and visualizations.
  • Develops dashboards and data visualizations for leaders throughout regulatory programs and support or advisory functions, with minimal supervision.
  • Partners with Data Steward to identify opportunities for and raise awareness about the need to use best practices for data collection and dissemination standards.
  • Conducts a variety of statistical analyses using Microsoft Excel Power BI or other software, based on Enterprise or Department Goals, Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and operational priorities.
  • Examines and integrates multiple sources of complex data related to goals, initiatives, and programs to identify data patterns and trends, to help answer business questions and inform decision making.
  • Partners with senior program managers to convert OKRs, and Key Performance Indicators or other success measures from ideas into data visualizations.
  • Proactively proposes enhancements to current Executive Reporting data visualizations, to improve ability to take action, as well as improving value by increased comprehension of senior and executive leadership.
  • Independently investigates, proposes, and implements methods of improving and/or increasing the automation of the Strategy-led analytics and executive reporting process.
  • Partners with D&A and OPS teams to ensure quality controls and record-keeping procedures are aligned with best practices to ensure the highest levels of data integrity related to Executive Reporting.
  • Responsible for partnering with business leads to evaluate whether data is accurate and mitigate any issues; then responsible to present analytics in a clear, concise, and business-relevant manner to key stakeholders.
  • Participates in the presentation of materials to executive and senior leaders that effectively communicate successes and achievements, as well as opportunities for improvements.
  • Communicates effectively to Executive Leaders and Officers through written materials and prepared content.
  • Ensures the delivery of high-quality work product with strong attention to detail.
  • Helps develop and maintain a positive and supportive work environment and culture.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, data science, or information technology, or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Advanced degree and/or relevant industry certification(s) highly preferred.
  • Minimum five years of related experience.
  • Exceptional quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including knowledge of data visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Knowledge of programming languages, including SQL.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and work independently are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

In addition to location, actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s skill set, level of experience, education, and internal peer compensation comparisons.

CA: Minimum Salary $91,500, Maximum Salary $170,900

CO/HI/MN/VT*: Minimum Salary $79,500, Maximum Salary $142,300
