At Lilly, we unite caring with discovery to make life better for people around the world. We are a global healthcare leader headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. About The Lilly Medicine Foundry:

Lilly recently announced a $4.5 billion investment to create the Lilly Medicine Foundry, a new center for advanced manufacturing and drug development. The first-ever facility of its kind, combining research and manufacturing in a single location, the Medicine Foundry will allow Lilly to further develop innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and increase capacity for clinical trial medicines, while also reducing costs and environmental impact.

Organization and Position Overview:

The AI Solutions & Delivery Leader is responsible for rapidly translating AI demand from Foundry business users into deployed, production-grade solutions. This role owns the end-to-end lifecycle from use case intake and prioritization through solution design, development, validation, and operational handoff. The leader also owns the Foundry's Agentic AI strategy, partnering with the Win Big with Data team to develop and execute a roadmap for autonomous AI agents that augment decision-making across manufacturing, quality, and operations.

This role reports to the Sr. Director Digital Innovation within the PR&D organization. As an execution-focused leader, this role takes innovation concepts surfaced by the Augmented Intelligence Leader and transforms them into operational solutions, while independently managing the Agentic AI strategic agenda and a portfolio of AI-driven tools (Claude for Foundry, domain-specific copilots, dashboards) serving the Foundry workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the AI demand intake process: receive, evaluate, prioritize, and sequence AI solution requests from Foundry business users based on feasibility, impact, and strategic alignment.

  • Rapidly iterate on AI solutions, moving from concept to minimum viable product to scaled deployment with short cycle times and continuous user feedback.

  • Lead the Foundry's Agentic AI strategy in partnership with the Win Big with Data team, defining the vision, architecture, governance, and implementation roadmap for autonomous AI agents across Foundry operations.

  • Own deployment and continuous improvement of Claude for Foundry, ensuring the AI assistant delivers measurable productivity and knowledge access gains.

  • Build and manage domain-specific AI copilots for quality, operations, and engineering functions, ensuring solutions meet cGMP compliance and operational requirements.

  • Design and deliver real-time dashboards and operational intelligence tools that provide actionable KPI visualization to Foundry leadership and operations teams.

  • Establish solution delivery frameworks including intake templates, prioritization rubrics, development sprints, user acceptance testing, and post-deployment performance tracking.

  • Partner with Tech@Lilly to ensure AI solutions integrate properly with enterprise infrastructure, data platforms, and security requirements.

  • Build, mento
