Operating since 1979, Meridian Group International is a leading IT service provider and equipment leasing and finance company across 4 continents.Position Summary The Meridian Cloud is a proprietary, multi-data center cloud environment, primarily focused on IBM Power. It plays a strategic role within the broader Meridian cloud services portfolio. The Director of Cloud Infrastructure will lead a dedicated team of professionals responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Meridian Cloud architecture and solutions.This role oversees the data center budget and manages the activities essential for operating the data centers while ensuring the seamless delivery of customer-facing services. Additionally, the Director supports sales opportunities and contributes to the design of new services. Collaborating with key stakeholders across the organization, the Director will also help identify and drive service improvement initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities

System Architecture / Budgeting:

Develop and implement a quarterly maintenance plan for the data center;
Perform regular capacity planning to ensure data centers meet growth requirements;
Create and manage budgets for asset purchases, licensing, maintenance, and third-party vendors;
Design and maintain recurring hardware and software lifecycle management plans;
Maintain and update inventory records in the Meridian Configuration Management Database;
Monitor and compare actual versus projected revenue run rates;
Track and approve cloud-related invoices.

Manage Engineering Team:

Hire, train, mentor, and motivate team members to ensure peak performance;
Ensure all team processes are thoroughly documented, scalable, and consistently improved;
Act as the primary escalation point for team members;
Review and approve timesheets and time-off requests.

Delivery / Risk Management / Security:

Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for service improvement (tickets, alerts, requests, tasks);
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and SLAs;
Collaborate with the Meridian compliance team to develop controls for certification requirements (SOC1, SOC2, ISO27001);
Develop and maintain internal security practices, including audits, change management, and vulnerability scans;
Collaborate with the automation team to automate recurring/preventive maintenance and troubleshooting tasks;
Create and maintain comprehensive Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans for Meridian;
Serve as the Incident Manager for major incidents, ensuring timely updates and overseeing root cause analysis;
Oversee and resolve customer complaints related to cloud incidents, ensuring customer satisfaction;
Work closely with service delivery leadership to streamline cloud service delivery processes;
Work closely with Meridian vendors to optimize cost and performance;
Manage and maintain relationships with Merdian technology solutions vendors.
