Director, Software Engineering / QE Consultant

The Role

As a Quality Engineering Consultant, you will be an integral part of the Digital Platform QE organization. You will ensure that project delivery meets quality standards by providing technical guidance in planning, designing, executing, testing, and developing procedures relating to product quality on complex integrated delivery.  You’ll get the opportunity to develop your leader skills, collaborate across Fidelity teams and continue to learn in a fun, iterative, and constantly evolving environment.  This role sits outside a squad at the product level and is accountable for leading and delivering on e2e enterprise test strategies for the product area; and is considered a subject matter expert in quality practices.

Experience and Skills that are Key to this Role

  • Experience with PL/SQL and complex queries, views, packages etc.
  • Strong, hands-on testing skills in Automation Scripting, Script execution and Functional Testing
  • Deep technical expertise with confirmed ability to drive technical solutions and automation frameworks/pipelines such as Selenium, Playwright, Rest Assured, Karate, etc.
  • Practical experience with quality engineering fundamentals such as test automation, data virtualization, and CI/CD integration
  • Deeply self-motivated with the ability to work independently, coordinating activities within cross-regional and multi-functional teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain strong multi-functional partnerships and relationships at all levels of the organization
  • A passion for excellence, innovation, and teamwork; eager to learn and adapt every day
  • Investment as an Agile change agent to continuously improve and encourage an agile way of working
  • Strong technical design and analysis skills

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 7+ years of Technical Excellence: Participate in building the culture of outstanding software engineering practices for the modern Cloud platforms
  • Strong Team builder, collaborator, and partner
  • BS or MS degree in a technical field such as computer science/engineering or related field
  • Software testing certifications preferred (ISTQB, CSTE, CAST, ICP-ATA, etc.)
