Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization. 

What you'll do:

The successful candidate will serve as Director of Node Management Systems within Walmart's Supply Chain. This leadership position is accountable for:

  • Defining the strategic direction for Node Management Systems by working closely with the business partners.
  • Developing and deploying innovative solutions that meet the needs of a large-scale, complex supply chain.
  • Ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and optimized for performance to support a multibillion-dollar business.
  • Drives initiatives to build a world-class workforce by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent. Ensures a culture of integrity and ethics, fostering an environment where associates are empowered to thrive and contribute to the company's success.


What you'll bring:

  • Domain expertise in running largescale systems with high availability. Experience in Retail supply chain is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in running large (40+) engineering organization and managing senior engineering leaders and architects.
  • Working knowledge of multiple distributed technologies ( e.g. GCP/Azure, Spark/Storm, Kafka, Key Value Stores, Caching, Solr, Druid, etc.)
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Experience in influencing across functional boundaries.
  • Proven ability to hire, mentor and grow top engineering talents.
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, and 10+ years of industry experience.
  • Biased towards innovation.
  • Customer empathy.
