The Administrative Assistant will assist the Museum Director and programming staff with daily tasks and program duties to assure smooth operations, exhibits, and programs. This position will be responsible for maintaining the condition of the office and will provide assistance with tasks and projects that support the annual goals of the Osage Nation Museum.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree in business, history, art history, anthropology or related field preferred
- At least two (2) years of experience working in an office setting preferred but not required
- Requires the ability to organize, direct, and perform duties and tasks in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale
- Must have some knowledge of Osage history, art and material culture
- Must have knowledge of office administration and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
- Requires effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills
- Requires excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skill
- Must have great customer service skills
- Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Nation
- Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
- Must be able to operate fax machines, copiers, and use proper phone etiquette
- Requires a high level of problem-solving skills
- Must maintain confidentiality at all times
- Requires the willingness & ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences & training sessions
- Requires the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs such as, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Publisher
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record – may be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicles
