The Accounting Lead is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by overseeing and managing the financial activities related to the project by ensuring the financial processes are accurate, compliant, and aligned with construction-specific requirements.

Job Description

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees and maintain accurate job financial reports for the project.

• Ensures timely and accurate reporting of project financials, including forecasts, progress billings, and final costs.

• Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for project.

• Collaborates with project managers to review budget vs. actuals and assist in resolving discrepancies.

• Manages accounts payable and receivable processes, including contractor payments, subcontractor billing, and client invoicing.

• Reviews all construction-related invoices and payment applications.

• Coordinates and Manages Accounts Payable team

• Ensures all construction projects adhere to financial regulations, tax laws, industry standards, and Louisiana Bridge Builders procedures

• Support audits of construction project and internal audits as needed.

• Maintain records of all invoices, other financial documents, and financial agreements for project.

• Monitor and track that all changes to contracts and their impact are addressed , from a finance point of view,  on, accounting processes, and reporting.

• Continuously evaluate and improve construction accounting processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy

• Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

At a minimum, the Accounting Lead must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field and at least 10+ years of accounting experience with at least 3+ years in a mega scale project. Familiarity with construction-specific billing, such as progress billing, change orders lien laws and bonding requirements is preferred.
