Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Benefits Enrollment and Management
- Program Administration: Manage all employee benefits programs.
- Open Enrollment: Manage open enrollment periods and process benefit elections.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate employee benefit data in Workday.
- Benefit Changes: Update benefits based on life events (marriage, births, etc.).
- Audits: Conduct regular audits to identify and correct data discrepancies.
- Clawbacks: Prepare benefit clawbacks when necessary.
- Employee Support
- Point of Contact: Serve as the primary contact for employee benefits inquiries.
- Self-Service: Assist employees in using Workday's self-service features for benefits management.
- Timely Responses: Respond to cases and email inquiries within 24-48 hours.
- Employee Self-Service
- Training: Provide training and resources for employees to use self-service features effectively.
- User Experience: Ensure the self-service interface is user-friendly and intuitive.
- Feedback: Address employee feedback to improve the self-service experience.
- Vendor Integration and Management
- Coordination: Coordinate with external benefits providers and vendors.
- Carrier Liaison: Act as a liaison with benefit carriers.
- Integration: Ensure seamless integration between Workday and external providers.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with vendors to resolve issues and manage changes.
- Wellness Initiatives
- Research: Research and plan wellness initiatives for employees.
- Implementation: Coordinate and execute wellness programs.
- Process Improvement
- Identification: Identify areas for improvement in benefits administration processes.
- Implementation: Implement improvements using Workday's tools and features.
- Feedback: Gather feedback from employees and administrators to refine processes.
- Best Practices: Stay updated on industry best practices and apply them to your processes.
- Communication and Education
- Regular Updates: Communicate regularly with employees about benefits changes, enrollment periods, and other relevant information.
- Educational Resources: Provide clear and accessible educational resources to help employees understand their benefits.
- Compliance and Reporting
- Regulations: Stay informed about and comply with benefits regulations.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze benefits-related reports using Workday's tools.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile monthly invoices for all benefit plans.
- System Maintenance and Upgrades
- Troubleshooting: Work with IT and Workday support to resolve issues.
- Updates: Participate in system testing for new features or updates.
- Integration: Ensure Workday's benefits module integrates effectively with other HR and payroll functions.
- Automation: Leverage Workday's automation capabilities to streamline workflows.
