Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive continuous quality control improvements through methodical collection and analysis of data.
- Perform incoming visual/dimensional inspections, in process inspections, and final inspections as required
- Make decisions on acceptability of materials and products, and disposition non-conforming materials through the part rejection process
- Investigate product quality problems, and recommend changes or improvements, to eliminate root causes and drive measurable improvements
- Actively lead and/or participate in vendor evaluation, source inspection, and kaizen teams as needed
- Read and follow blueprints and schematics to assemble equipment
- Utilize basic hand tools to complete assembly of equipment
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Ability to utilize mechanical and electrical inspections equipment such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, multimeter, profilometers, etc.
- Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines is a plus
- Specialized quality training or certifications required
- Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred
- Associate degree required
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT)
- Ability to travel and work across shifts
- Ability to utilize basic hand tools safely and efficiently to complete assembly of equipment
- Ability to utilize SAP to view work orders, parts list, and to close completed orders
- Ability to pull blueprints for the equipment and parts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability to correct issues when they arise Ability to complete CAPA’s and document issues
