NATURE AND SCOPE:
Under direction of the Afterschool Director or Youth Development Director, the bus driver is responsible for the safe transportation of all campers and staff while in route to and from Y Day camp locations and off-site events.
RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):
Teach the basic skills of courtesy and safe driving to campers in a safe and respectful manner.
Take attendance and provide safety information at the start of each trip.
Inspect the vehicle for all safety guidelines and regulations.
Follow all traffic regulations and guidelines and drive in a manner that ensures the safety of their passengers.
Carry out daily program tasks related directly to the position's scope and responsibility.
Maintain branch and association certifications in CPR, Metro Atlanta YMCA for New Staff Orientation and Branch Emergency procedures and any other required certifications and/or training required by the Metro Atlanta YMCA.
Responsible for maintaining and reporting incident/accident paperwork.

Communicate positively with parents and staff as required
Attend all staff camp training.
Must be able to pass a driving record check to drive for the YMCA
