Job Summary

The Manager of Gas Settlements oversees the settlement, reconciliation and reporting functions for Vistra’s natural gas transactions. The Manager maintains knowledge and expertise on settlement methodologies and applies technical and business expertise in managing daily settlement responsibilities. The Manager applies applicable accounting standards and maintains a controlled process environment to ensure transactions are recorded appropriately.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

·Directs the settlement and billing processes for affiliated and non-affiliated natural gas transactions. ·Ensures all settlement and billing processes are conducted within an appropriately designed control framework.·Drives continuous improvement and standardization across the team.·Oversees the posting of and analysis of settlement data for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and closing processes.·Provides exceptional customer support for internal and external customers.·Participates in complex analytical projects with collaboration across multiple organizations.·Selects, develops, evaluates and motivates a highly skilled and technical staff to ensure leadership continuity, technical excellence, and high productivity.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

•Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Engineering. •6-8 years experience in an Energy company with emphasis on Accounting, Settlements, Trading, Asset Management and/or Operations.•Broad understanding of accounting principles, Sarbanes Oxley standards, and financial reporting.•Demonstrated ability to identify problems and issues, integrate data from a variety of sources, draw valid conclusions, and develop solid plans of action.•Exceptional communication and organization skills.•Experience in managing teams in a fast paced and changing environment.
