About the role

Job Description:

The Role  

The Director, Technology Strategy is responsible for supporting the development, articulation, and governance of Fidelity’s Asset Management Technology (AMT) strategy and associated multiyear technology roadmap. Reporting to the Vice President, Technology Strategy, this position sits within the Technology Strategy & Governance (TSG) team in Asset Management.  

  • Support the creation, refinement, and maintenance of AM Technology’s multiyear technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and enterpriselevel technology direction. 

  • Translate complex strategy content into executive briefs, strategic narratives, annual plans, and roadmap visuals—for audiences at all levels, including senior leadership and crossfunctional stakeholders. 

  • In partnership with the Asset Management communications team, lead the dissemination of strategy through executive presentations, All Associate Meetings, and AM Tech leadership meetings to ensure consistent understanding and alignment across AM Technology. 

  • Maintain and evolve AM Technology’s strategic book of work, which represents highest priority initiatives, spotlighting progress, risks and issues, and strategic alignment. 

  • Partner with TSG leadership to establish and improve governance mechanisms that ensure the initiatives in the strategic book of work are prioritized and communicated effectively. 

  • Regularly engage with delivery leaders to understand evolving product and platform roadmaps. 

  • Support the execution of select AM Technology strategic project through structured problem solving, data analysis, and coordination with business partners. 

 

 

The Expertise and Skills You Bring  

  • Demonstrated experience in  technology strategy development or strategic planning at enterprise or business-unit level. 

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills including the ability to interpret data and form clear recommendations 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity for executive audiences 

  • Proven ability to influence and build trust with stakeholders across both business and technology. 

  • Comfort in operating in a complex, matrixed organizations
