Description

In this role, the successful candidate will design, develop, integrate, and support applications for Commercial Digital business segments.

To be successful the candidate must be driven and well-organized, with strong learning and multi-tasking abilities. It is essential for the individual to be self-motivated and tenacious, thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and complete tasks on agreed schedules.

The team will look to this individual to assist in the production releases, perform research and to aid in the resolution of production incident tickets and the completion of design, development, and integration activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Designs, tests, debugs, documents, and implements those programs. 
• Participate in code reviews and the integration testing of solutions
• Will be able to perform technical assignments independently, as well as, in large team settings
• Will show drive and interest in learning new systems, applications, technologies and process.
• Will show an understanding of the industry standards and practices and the knowledge of technical industry trends as they apply to Huntington
• Participates in production releases as scheduled
• Consults with users to design, modify, and explain program changes or to provide technical support.
• Resolves problems which occur in production systems.
• May serve as project leader in the development of automated systems or procedures.
• Provides direction and training to other team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise programming skills with COBOL
• Experience with Easytrieve
• Must be able to read mainframe cobol code and write detailed document explaining what’s being done
• Work closely with others on the team
• Able to work independently on tasks
• Knowledge of CICS, DB2, VSAM is required
• Write new jobs/JCL, procs, job docs
• Good documentation skills
• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
• Meet deadlines and stay ahead of schedule
