Your role in our mission

 

  • Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents programs.
  • Assists in the modification of customer/internal systems to meet the needs of the client and/or end-user.
  • Gathers information from the system, analyzes program and time requirements, and prepares documentation to change existing programs.
  • Works with business analysts to review and understand business design and confirm test results.
  • Researches and analyzes existing systems and program requirements, under periodic supervision.
  • Designs programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs.
  • Writes specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.
  • Assists in resolving production support problems. Develops and suggests alternative approaches to resolving problems.
  • Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs. Identifies issues as appropriate.
  • Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation.
  • Conducts quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.
  • Shows initiative and takes ownership of all assignments.
  • Remains abreast of and research industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards.

What we're looking for

 

  • 2+ years of experience in applications development and batch programming C, UNIX/Linux, and SQL
  • Experience with healthcare IT systems is desired.
  • Relational databases experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server

 

What you should expect in this role

 

  • Hybrid role in East Hartford, CT.  Initially will require to be onsite periodically for training and collaboration, but the vast majority of the time will be able to work remotely from home. 
  • Participate in weekly batch developer on-call rotation.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs.  
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation.

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
