Location: Stuttgart, Germany<p></p><p></p><p>As Ground Transportation Systems (GTS), we are advancing rail signalling and safety solutions to ensure safe and efficient railway operations worldwide.</p><p>Our technologies help to bring billions of people reliably to their destinations by rail every year – making sustainable mobility a reality. </p><p></p><p>Senior Design Authority Bids&amp;Projects (f/m/x) (Ref.No. R1004171)</p><p>at our location in Ditzingen (Stuttgart)</p><p></p><p>You will enjoy having this responsibility:</p><p>The MLS Business Line Senior Design Authority (DA) Bids &amp; Projects is a technical expert, independent from the delivery organisation, with the mission to orient, challenge and approve the solution for a Bid or Customer project, considering the global GTS/MLS Product Policy, Make-Team-Buy strategy, cost, resource and planning constraints, as well as risk assessment and mitigation plans. He/She might put in place support actions to help mitigate bid or project technical issues. The focus is on complex multi-product bids and the competitiveness of our systems.</p><p></p><p>It also involves the following tasks:</p><ul><li><p>You are responsible for the Solution Approval and Challenge of our Solutions for a Bid or Project</p></li><li><p>You guarantee the integrity, relevance and feasibility of the Bids &amp; Projects technical content, in accordance with Product Policy, adequate product re-use, Make-Team-Buy Strategy, as well as the maturity of the technologies employed and the adequate assignment of Engineering teams</p></li><li><p>You are in close contact with our Engineering and Operations Directors regarding the Ensuring of the Engineering resources such as the production and maintenance aspects. This involves the Engineering Environment rules, Manufacturability, Maintainability and Production Costs.</p></li><li><p>In the case of a Bids addressing separate Build and Run/Operation phases, you ensure that the respective (Build and Run/Operation) DVa documents are consistent in terms of Solution design validation, together with the GTS DA for Services</p></li><li><p>You will support technical reviews on important issues during the project execution and organize those accordingly your responsibility</p></li><li><p>You will directly report to the Technical Director of the MLS Business Line and work closely with the GTS Senior Design Authority as well as with the Project Design Authorities</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>You have:</p><ul><li><p>You have a senior engineering background and experience with complex engineering solutions</p></li><li><p>You have more profound knowledge about our MLS product portfolio. Knowledge about the GTS portfolio is advantageous</p></li><li><p>You can prove your experience with a track record of complex, international and multidiscipline system projects and a product portfolio</p></li><li><p>The ability to work in international teams and a proficient communication towards different stakeholders are some of your strengths</p></li><li><p>You have knowledge about our Bids&amp;Projects as well as our products</p></li><li><p>Your language skills in English are fluent.
