As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and reliable data solutions, including data ingestion pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand data needs, and develop data architecture to support business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and programming, with a passion for continuous learning, collaborative solutioning, and building data products that drive business outcomes.

What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable data pipelines to move data across systems from various sources
- Develop ETL processes to ensure data quality and consistency
- Build and optimize data models and schema designs for performance and scalability
- Implement data governance and security principles
- Collaborate with analysts to understand data requirements and provide scalable solutions
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
- Monitor and optimize the performance of the data infrastructure
- Mentor junior members of the team and promote best practices in data engineering
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and experience
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role
- Proficient in SQL, data modeling, and schema design
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala; Python preferred
- Extensive experience with both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services
- Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Fivetran, Luigi)
- Experience partnering with data analytics teams to develop data models
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
