The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:
We are seeking a highly-motivated specialist to be part of the General Accounting team within the RTX Enterprise Services – Controllership and Compliance organization. This person will perform the following primary responsibilities.
What you will do:
- Perform monthly cash account reconciliations related to various Collins, Pratt & Whitney and/or Corporate accounts
- Assist in account reconciliation research items with the goal of driving resolution between cross-functional departments
- Support the monthly close process through processing monthly journal entries, closing activities and account reconciliations related to various Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Corporate Raytheon accounts
- Prepare month end reporting including miscellaneous supplementals and deliverables to support disclosures for 10-Q/10-K
- Assist the Pratt & Whitney Military team with a range of accounting tasks and functions.
- Work closely with third-party accountants, Ernst & Young, to ensure the accurate preparation and processing of accounting transactions for the Pratt & Whitney Military entities.
- Contribute to ES by bringing innovative solutions within the knowledge base and work of the department
- Provide excellent customer service to Collins, Pratt & Whitney, and/or Corporate accounts, including answering questions or responding to ad hoc requests as required
- Participate in process improvement activities related to all central accounting functions as required, i.e., journal entry automation, support finance transformation, other automation efforts.

Qualifications You Must Have:
- This position typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field and at least 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience
- At least 3 years’ experience with and knowledge of current common enterprise finance and accounting systems such as SAP and month end close procedures
- At least 3 years’ experience with and knowledge of US GAAP Accounting Practices
- At least 3 years’ experience performing monthly cash account reconciliations and researching and resolving variations/ issues
- At least 3 years’ experience supporting the monthly close process through processing monthly journal entries, closing activities and account reconciliations
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience in SAP
- CPA and/or MBA
- Strong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and database reporting skills with solid analytical, planning and organizational skills to solve problems and recommend comprehensive solutions
- Proven verbal and written communication skills, good business acumen and ability to brief levels of management as well as the ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in a fast paced, deadline driven environment and maintain a service-oriented demeanor with professionalism in sensitive and challenging situations
