We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Business Intelligence (BI) team, responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and data insights. This role is critical in understanding business processes and translating these into detailed requirements for the BI team. The Business Analyst will focus on ensuring that the data and insights produced are relevant, actionable, and aligned with strategic goals. The successful candidate will have experience in a related field, contributing their expertise to shape how the BI function supports the organization.
The Business Analyst will play a critical role in shaping our organization’s data-driven decision-making process by ensuring that KPIs are well-defined and aligned across all levels, from leadership to operations. In this role, you will not only contribute to the successful execution of our Strategic Framework but also help guide the evolution of the BI team’s capabilities. Your expertise will ensure that business needs are met with impactful, actionable insights that drive efficiency and performance across the organization
Key Responsibilities:- Stakeholder Collaboration & Requirement Definition:
Engage with business leaders to understand reporting and analytical needs. Translate business goals into clear specifications for reports, KPIs, and dashboards. Ensure alignment with strategic objectives and operational processes. - Project Prioritization & Resource Focus:
Work with stakeholders to prioritize data projects based on business impact. Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure resources are efficiently allocated. Monitor progress to ensure timely delivery. - Insight Interpretation & Communication:
Collaborate with Data Scientists to interpret complex datasets. Present data insights to stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner. Facilitate ongoing dialogue between business units and the BI team to ensure understanding and alignment. - Process Optimization & Efficiency:
Identify and implement opportunities for automation in reporting processes. Recommend enhancements to improve scalability and data accuracy. Continuously review processes to drive operational efficiency. - Training & User Enablement:
Provide hands-on training to users on report usage and dashboards. Develop support materials to guide decision-makers in data interpretation. Ensure users are empowered to leverage data for better decision-making
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a field relevant to our business.
- Experience in KPI definition and management, especially in translating high-level strategic KPIs into operational KPIs.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into BI and reporting requirements.
- Experience working with BI platforms like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, from top management to operational teams.
- Understanding of business processes and how data can drive strategic execution and operational optimization.
- Master’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or Data Science.
- Experience working alongside Data Scientists to drive KPI-focused insights and analysis.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data flows, while leaving technical management to the Data Engineer.
- Experience working in Agile environments, particularly in collaboration with a Product Owner to align BI deliverables with business needs.
- Industry knowledge in agriculture, production, or related fields, helping to guide the organization’s strategic execution.
