About This Job

Join Axos Bank’s immersive 12-week Summer Internship Program to gain hands-on experience, contribute to enterprise initiatives, and develop professional skills in a fast-paced, technology-driven financial environment. Along with your day-to-day job duties, you will take part in a capstone project, sessions with our business leaders, financial literacy training courses, Corporate Finance Institute trainings, and a volunteer day. Interns choose between one of two sessions.
Session 1: May 27 - August 14
Session 2: June 17 - September 4

As a Business Banking Intern at Axos Bank, you will gain hands-on experience across key areas of banking. This internship offers exposure to relationship management, deal execution, and operational excellence while supporting cross-functional teams in delivering innovative financial solutions.

Client Relationship Management

• Manage and grow relationships with corporate, institutional, clients.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, to internal partners providing strategic financial solutions to meet client needs.
• Partner with internal teams (credit, operations, compliance) to deliver seamless service.

Business Development

• Identify opportunities to cross-sell banking products such as lending, deposits, SBLOC
• Support leaders in originating new client relationships and expanding existing ones.
• Conduct market and industry research to identify growth opportunities.

Credit & Risk Management

• Assist in monitoring the flow of account opening and SBLOC to make sure we are within SLA
• Monitor SBLOC portfolio to ensure compliance with credit policies and risk management guidelines.

Sales & Execution

• Support clients with day-to-day banking transactions and problem resolution.
• Track and report progress on sales targets and client activity.

Operational Excellence

• Maintain accurate client records and pipeline updates in Salesforce systems.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and procedures. Update procedures when necessary.
• Provide timely and accurate reporting to management.
