Job Description

We are currently looking for a hardworking and dynamic individual to join our Consumer Market & Knowledge (CMK) organization as a Fabric Care, Consumer Insights, Senior Manager.

In CMK, we combine analytics and insights to directly influence business strategy, product design, pricing, media investments, retail, go to market strategy … and much more! This specific role covers a broad diversity of skills & experiences, from demonstrating consumer & market insights to influence global brand building, to identifying & forecasting industry trends to develop research & analytics capabilities of the future.

Job Responsibilities

  • This leader must serve as both the Voice of the Consumer and Pulse of the business – ensuring consumer insights and consumer behavior are at the core of our strategies and executions. You will work on multi-functional business teams – with Brand Management, Finance, Sales, R&D, and others – to constantly explore new opportunities for business growth. Your key to success will be your ability to combine soft skills with analytical skills to discover non-obvious insights, and translate those insights into actions with your key business partners across levels and functions – including what new products we should make, what advertising consumers see and how our brands show up in store and online.

  • Develop Breakthrough Packaging - Apply data & consumer insights to develop new packaging, in store claims and Displays that make our brand the obvious choice for consumers and clearly communicate why our brand is worth paying more for.

  • Develop Breakthrough Advertising & Marketing - Combine brand new technology including AI and Neuroscience with Deep Consumer Insights to develop breakthrough Marketing and Advertising that explodes Trial and usage of our brands

  • Media Strategy & Tracking - Apply Data & Insights to inform who is our Target consumer, partner with our media team to develop a media plan that reaches those consumers and track the ability of our advertising to convert into trial of our brand.

  • Business Drivers - Use brand new analytics tools to dig deep in the data, identifying key business drivers and assessing the impact of investments like advertising and in store promotions. We use big data sources and analytics to understand consumers, markets, and retailers. We answer questions like: What should our brands stand for? Who are our target shoppers? How do we best reach them? How can we build exciting in-store and online shopper experiences? And… What’s next?

  • Path 2 Purchase - Use both Data and consumer insights to define the consumer Path 2 Purchase – and work with our Marketing & Sales counterparts to implement plans that address the biggest barriers to purchase

  • Pulse on the business – Use advanced data & analytical skills to assess business performance across retailers and channels, track shopper behavior and identify new growth opportunities

  • Digital & eCommerce – Apply the latest data tools and capabilities to understand shopper behavior online, digital path 2 purchase, analyze ratings & reviews, and leverage retailer specific digital platforms to both increase brand visibility online and target consumers online

  • You will lead developing new research methods & approaches, demonstrating the latest in Digital Technology & AI to find ways of doing our work cheaper, faster & better.

  • You will be part of a multi-functional business team, working closely with Brand Management, Finance, R&D, and others, constantly exploring new opportunities for business growth.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, or relevant field

  • 5 years of experience working in consumer insights and/or analytics

  • Balance of qualitative + quantitative experience (ie. not too heavily skewed in one direction)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7 years experience working in consumer insights and/or analytics

  • Strong analytical experience – KNIME, Python, SQL, Power BI
