Major Duties
Under general supervision, the Accounting Technician III role involves meticulous management of billing and reconciliation processes for Campus Copier and Postal Services programs, ensuring accurate financial operations. You will provide key administrative support, process transactions, and maintain compliance with university policies while directly contributing to the department’s efficiency.
- Oversees the Campus Copier Program including all aspects of billing, collections, and ongoing communication with campus users to ensure seamless operations.
- Reconciles the postage account. Maintains accurate records for reconciliation with USPS, Pitney Bowes Pre-paid Postage Account, and for Petty Cash Audit with Accounts Payable of 3 separate postage permit accounts with USPS.
- Monitors accounts payable, follows up with vendors as needed, and ensures timely payment processing to maintain positive business relationships.
- Runs reports and reconciles and tracks expenditures to verify the posting of transactions to the General Ledger.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Equivalent to four years of full-time, progressively responsible accounting experience that has provided the applicant with the required knowledge and abilities listed OR any equivalent combination of college education in a job related field and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong proficiency in financial reconciliation and reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with internal departments and external vendors.
- Proficiency in financial software including PeopleSoft, Solar Financials, and CFS Data Warehouse.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Solid knowledge of accounting procedures, compliance requirements, and operational best practices.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

- Classification: Accounting Technician / 1740 / grade 1
- The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $4166 - $5544 per month, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $4166 - $7312 per month.
- HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday.
- This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
- The individual hired for this role will physically work on-campus in Northridge. This is not a telecommute position.
