Members can play, pause, and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time. <br/>THE OPPORTUNITYNetflix seeks an experienced attorney to lead the Content Legal team in France. Based in Paris, the role will be focused on managing the team of business and legal professionals tasked with building, maintaining, and marketing the growing slate of Netflix original series and films produced in France. <br/>Working closely with internal partners such as creative executives, production finance, and production management, this leader will be responsible for scaling our French content operations, setting the strategy, and leading and inspiring a team. They will also be responsible for negotiating deals (and managing the negotiations of deals) for content programming, either with third-party partners or directly with talent and their representatives, as well as overseeing business and legal affairs matters during production. As a result, the ideal candidate will have direct experience with deal-making and business and legal issues in the French entertainment marketplace. <br/>The candidate will be familiar with the French audiovisual regulatory environment and should understand the SVOD decree and the implications for Netflix from a Business and Legal standpoint. They will be a strong partner for the Public Policy team, assisting them with the relationships with the Public Authority and Unions, including the negotiation of interprofessional agreements in the best interest of Netflix. The role requires a strong leader as well as a facility in creative thinking, good judgment, and a high level of comfort with exploring new transaction models and flexibility.
<h3>Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li>A minimum of 15+ years of broad‐based entertainment experience in France with both the legal and business aspects of production and distribution and experience with growing and managing a team.</li><li> Fluency in English and French is a requirement for this role. </li></ul>
