Overnight Camp Facility Supervisor

About the role

For almost 20  years, Avid4 Adventure has empowered kids to live active outdoor lifestyles through our unique outdoor programming. As a Facilities Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the development, cleanliness, and maintenance of the camp’s buildings, grounds, equipment, and other facilities consistent with the mission and established policies and procedures of the camp.

We are hiring Facility Supervisors for our two Colorado Overnight Camp locations: 

  • Camp Blue Sky (Grades 1-5), Evergreen, CO

  • Camp Windy Peak (Grades 6-12), Bailey, CO

In this role you will:

  • Keep buildings and groups safe, clean, and in good repair

  • Clean all facilities and document progress on Daily/Weekly/Monthly tracking sheets

  • Identify and proactively address safety, security, and health hazards

  • Respond to facility emergencies on physical site

  • Participate in weekly site “walk throughs” with Assistant Directors and other weekly meetings

  • Report repairs or replacement needs to Leadership and work

  • Maintain and update records related to the camp’s preventative maintenance program

In short, we lease our camp properties from Jefferson County School District and we take great pride in these sites.  We want them cared for like a hotel… bathrooms cleaned daily, showers dry, floors swept and mopped, dining hall spotless, etc.  In addition, as light maintenance needs arise, we want someone from our team that can step in and solve problems.  This role is primarily custodial with some maintenance and repair responsibilities.

Your Background

  • Minimum 18 years of age by the start of training

  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance and/or custodial is preferred

  • Basic/Community First Aid and CPR required prior to the start of camp

Important Details

  • Work Schedule: Overnight camps are a 24/7 operation, with the expectation that you live on-site. Leadership will work with you to ensure structured time-off is available

  • Position Duration: Training is June 4 - 9. Camps run from June 9 through August 3. 

  • Compensation: Pay is determined based on position, additional responsibilities, relevant certifications, and staff tenure. Weekly pay rates start at $473.70/week (room and board is provided the whole summer!) Read more about our compensation structure here.
