****This position my be titiled/assigned Estimator, I, II, III, or Sr depending on education, years of experience, and performance at the Estimator level.  This position is onsite at ANO, Arkansas Nuclear One in Russellville, AR.  Relocation assistance is available for this posting****

 

Job Summary/Purpose

This position provides the estimation, detailed cost analysis, and financial compilations necessary for project evaluation, project authorization, and project management.  Estimators work with the Project Managers/Project Team to develop cost estimates for Capital Projects in support of procedural requirements, and for direction, communication, and guidance to Project Managers.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Financial analysis including detailed project cost estimation and budget development.  
  • Collect and analyze data to estimate the money, materials, labor, and time that a capital project requires, in addition to any associated overhead expenses.
  • Convert project estimates to control budgets in accordance with the applicable code of accounts and work breakdown structure. 
  • Analyze cost data, physical progress data, and schedule data to predict the prospective financial performance of the project; prepare annual expenditure budgets; and assess project risk registers to formulate mitigating contingency values as needed.
  • Create reports of detailed estimates and project budgets for nuclear capital projects.
  • Close coordination is required with Superintendents, Project Managers, Contract Managers, Engineering, Supply Chain, Financial Business Partners, Accounting, and Project Controls to ensure timely and accurate reporting of project estimates.
  • Conduct field walkdowns.
  • Perform final analysis during project closeout.

           

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position.

Estimator, I, II, III: Desired: B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management or applicable course of study or related work experience preferred.  Required for Estimator Sr.

Estimator, Sr: Required: B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management or applicable course of study or related work experience preferred. 

 

Minimum experience required of the position.

  • Estimator I:  0+ years of estimating or equivalent experience to include field work.
  • Estimator II:  2+ years of estimating or equivalent experience to include field work.
  • Estimator III:  4+ years of estimating or equivalent experience to include field work.
  • Estimator Sr: 6+ years of estimating or equivalent experience to include field work.

                                                                       

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

Knowledge and experience in the management and control of large, complex utility capital projects.
