About the role

This is a strategic role for ingestion of SORs and management of data products for the GDW foundational data products.  The role is responsible for day-to-day leadership of AIG’s core data products including data ingestion into the AIG data lake.  This includes working with technical resources, business partners and project teams.  Drive design and decisions across multiple data products, working closely with and managing requests from multiple business stakeholders.  The role will also be responsible for developing roadmap for sunset and decommission of legacy financial systems as well as identify opportunities to consolidate processes across legacy and strategic systems.

What you need to know

The responsibilities for this role include:

• Responsible for day to day leadership of AIG’s core financial data warehouse.  This includes driving outcomes while engaging with technical resources, finance/accounting partners and external parties such as auditors.
• Drive design and decisions across multiple programs, working closely with and managing requests from multiple stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate process across legacy and strategic systems and develop a roadmap for sunset and decommission of legacy financial systems.
• Expected to recommend innovations and improvements to financial delivery capabilities. Adapts designs and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
• Serves as a Subject Matter Expert for AIG and AIG Stakeholders with respect to AIG’s financial processing.
• Serve as competency leader in the financial space responsible for subject matter development of employees and contractors across multiple teams.
• Responsible for ensuring all aspects of audit requests are met as well as the ability to handle both finance and IT inquiries across multiple financial systems.
• Ability to tie details of multiple projects together to ensure successful delivery across multiple dependencies.  Resolve conflict with resource and time constraints to ensure successful delivery.
• Translate business requests from Finance or other business units into technical design specifications for the delivery team.

Key Qualifications

• Experience leading data integration initiatives in large, complex insurance or financial services companies
• Financial acumen and experience with insurance financial principles
• Ability to manage multiple vendors and large vendor teams across multiple geographies.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with key leaders in the organization
• Ability to work under challenging production situations fulfilling tight deadlines.
• Ability to influence change and drive results.  Must be a self-motivated driver to identify issues and resolve them quickly.
• Effective communication skills and ability to negotiate outcomes that balance business speed to market with appropriate controls and governance.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and with changing priorities.
• Project implementation experience in Agile and waterfall methodologies
