We’re looking for a Senior Creative Designer, focused on Brand and Marketing, to help shape our all-in-one privacy solution and join our mission to show the world that protecting your privacy online can be simple.
The Opportunity
In this role, you'll leverage your exceptional craft and creative skills such as illustration, animation, and typography to add delight, personality, and evolve the tone of our brand across all marketing channels, platforms, and product areas. From ideating and designing marketing campaigns and other top-of-the-funnel touch points, to weaving our brand throughout the DuckDuckGo product experience. You'll have the opportunity to level up the quality of our creative and understand what resonates with users by exploring and testing concepts that help us identify new ways to communicate our story and appeal to a broader audience.
Applying your hands-on design skills, you'll lead projects that define and showcase our brand while scaling that creative work across marketing, product, communications, events, and swag. You will have a voice in all brand and marketing-related design decisions, whether large or small, and an opportunity to work on a team dedicated to our ethical, privacy by design approach. What You Will Bring to DuckDuckGo
- 6+ years of experience in brand and marketing design roles, including 2+ years in relevant senior-level design positions at significant global consumer brands.
- Demonstrable experience in creating delightful, brand-differentiating attributes through your hands-on craft and creative skills, such as illustration, motion, and typography.
- A strong background in brand design — you have hands-on experience in marketing design, typography, color, and composition - and can execute with exceptional creativity and attention to detail.
- A versatility in your creative style that allows us to try a variety of concepts to learn what resonates best with our audience and adapt along the way.
- Proficiency in managing projects of varying complexity, from proposal, through execution and release, all while working transparently and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and contributors.
- Ability to write creative briefs that clearly define and communicate project goals, rationale, and success metrics with cross-functional stakeholders.
- An eagerness to ideate in the open, taking collaborators along with you in your process while inspiring and motivating them to push creative boundaries.
- Proficiency in research and experimentation — you can leverage both qualitative and quantitative data in driving decisions forward.
- Ability to take initiative to carry ideas forward with urgency and discretion.
- Expertise and willingness to apply your experience in educating, guiding, and supporting others, while serving as a steward to maintain quality of execution across designated areas of design.
