Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and data analysis-oriented Director of Clinical Support Operations to provide leadership and oversight across key operational areas of our growing urology specialty practice, including Pharmacy Operations, Central Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Data Analytics, and Special Projects. This role is instrumental in optimizing efficiency, supporting clinical care, and driving strategic initiatives across the organization.

The ideal candidate will bring strong healthcare operational experience, familiarity with the unique needs of urology practices, and the ability to bridge clinical priorities with operational execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Pharmacy Operations Oversight

  • Provide strategic oversight of in-practice pharmacy operations, including supervision of the pharmacy manager to ensure effective execution of daily activities such as medication procurement, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with clinical leadership to support safe and cost-effective use of medications commonly used in urology, such as intravesical therapies and injectable treatments.
  • Monitor drug utilization, manage formularies, and ensure efficient coordination with prior authorization and billing teams.

Central Supply Chain Management

  • Provide leadership and oversight of centralized procurement and inventory control across multiple practice sites, including direct supervision of the supply chain manager to ensure effective daily operations. Ensure availability of urology-specific supplies (e.g., catheters, scopes, stents) to support clinical needs.
  • Negotiate with vendors, streamline ordering processes, and implement supply standardization to reduce waste and control costs.
  • Work closely with clinical teams to align supply chain workflows with procedural and clinic schedules.

Information Technology Collaboration

  • Coordinate with IT teams to ensure systems and infrastructure effectively support both administrative and clinical operations.
  • Guide prioritization of technology improvements, system upgrades, and IT support needs across departments.
  • Support digital workflows, cybersecurity efforts, and efficient end-user experience for technology platforms.


Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Lead data initiatives that track performance metrics such as provider productivity, patient throughput, treatment patterns, and referral trends.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, Excel-based reports, and visual tools to support decision-making.
  • Leverage Athena EMR data to extract insights, monitor operational KPIs, and support clinical quality improvement.
  • Promote a data-driven culture by ensuring accurate, actionable, and timely reporting for stakeholders across the practice.

Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives

  • Manage cross-functional projects including new clinic openings, service line expansion (e.g., ambulatory surgery, advanced procedures), compliance initiatives, and performance improvement.
  • Work with leadership to plan and execute growth strategies, improve operational efficiency, and elevate the patient experience.
  • Use SharePoint and other collaboration tools to manage documentation, workflows, and project timelines.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Pharmacy, IT, or a related field required; Master’s preferred.

Minimum 4 years of progressive healthcare operations leadership experience, preferably in a specialty or surgical practice setting.

Experience overseeing or partnering with pharmacy, supply chain, IT, and data teams.

Strong understanding of urology-specific clinical and operational workflows is highly preferred.

Proven ability to lead complex projects, analyze data, and support clinical teams.

Ability to travel statewide as needed through use of personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)

Ability to travel overnight and out of state for conferences and development opportunities
