Raytheon is hiring a Senior Java Software Engineer / Scrum Master to support our teams in Richardson, Texas. You will have the opportunity to directly impact the world around you and contribute to classified programs and technologies you are passionate about. In this role, you will use your solid foundation in Java and experience working in a Linux environment to comprehend customer needs and translate those needs into viable design solutions.

What You Will Do

• Opportunity to use your understanding of software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering (including software development lifecycle and software development process), design patterns, and Object Oriented architecture. 
• Demonstrate your critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas well. 
• Limited travel will be required to support Release Planning Events Events (RPEs) with the customer
• Obtain and maintain SCI program access and complete polygraphs.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), and a minimum of 5 years of Software Engineering experience.
• Experience developing applications using Java.
• Experience as a Scrum Master or Scrum Master Certification.
• Experience with Agile or DevSecOps toolsets (e.g. Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Jenkins, Cucumber, etc.).
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• A degree in Computer Science
• CSM certification
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
• Experience with AWS Cloud Technologies
• Experienced working with a geographically distributed team
• Ability to support limited business travel for customer meetings.
