Required Qualifications
Must demonstrate effective leadership skills, mastery of federal student aid regulations and keep current with ongoing regulation, system, and policy changes. Must have strong communication skills, written, verbal, presentation skills, computer literacy, analytical, problem solving skills and ability to work with diverse populations. Must be highly flexible, a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others and able to work in a fast-paced, high energy work environment that emphasizes measurable work outcomes. A willingness to learn American Sign Language in some roles.
Must be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office and US Department of Education Systems, as well as have an understanding of and willingness to learn the following applications: ProSAM (Financial Aid Management System), PeopleSoft Student Information System, NYS Higher Education Services Corporation Systems, OnBase document scanning system, , ScholarNet
Preferred Qualifications
At least five years of demonstrated financial aid and/or supervisory experience or relevant higher education experience preferred.
