This job posting is for 1st shift with a rotational work schedule of 3 - 12 hours days 1 week and 4 - 12 hours days the next week. The work hours are generally 12 hours a day and the shift start at 6:00 a.m. The starting base rate of pay is $25.40/hour. Starting pay can be higher based on experience. This position is also eligible for overtime pay. Team members must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and some holidays, as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. This includes repairing and maintaining the operating conditions of the machinery and equipment, and troubleshooting problems that occur in the day-to-day operation of the facility.
Performs work involving hydraulics, pneumatic electrical, and mechanics in general, as well as some welding.
Sets up, adjusts, and breaks down production line machinery and completes daily documentation, as required.
All team members are responsible for safety, including but not limited to, personal safety and food safety.
Complies with all company and USDA policies/guidelines and reports known or suspected violations.
Attends monthly and annual required training (e.g., Safety, HACCP, HR topics, LOTO, PIT)
Performs other duties, as assigned.
Requires basic computer skills to navigate systems, perform data entry, and complete training.
Ability to read manuals to repair equipment safely and to follow all safety protocols.
Ability to record information using company-provided forms and procedures.
Ability to report to work as scheduled and work scheduled hours to meet job expectations, have flexibility to work other jobs, as needed, and work weekends and overtime, as needed.
