• Position Type: Full-time, hourly paid position based on years of industry experience with the opportunity to earn overtime pay
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

Key Responsibilities

As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you will:

• Receive inbound materials into the manufacturing facility
• Operate Epicor software for inventory management
• Manage and maintain floor stock materials
• Distribute inventory to the shop floor
• Conduct daily cycle counts for inventory accuracy
• Monitor incoming and outgoing materials
• Prepare and package units for shipment, including wrapping, strapping, boxing, or crating
• Schedule trucks for pick up
• Operate forklift as needed
• Help to maintain a clean, organized, and safe production space
• Assist other shop departments as needed
• Take initiative to seek additional tasks when the shipping and receiving department is slow
• Be a self-starter who proactively addresses tasks and challenges

 

 

Experience and Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

• Previous shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Minimum of 2 years experience using Epicor or a related ERP system
• Strong organizational and cleanliness skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to efficiently manage time in a fast-paced environment
• Good mathematical skills, particularly in counting and conversions
• Basic computer skills
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Must be reliable with a record of strong attendance

 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and navigate tight spaces
• Ability to crouch, crawl, and work on the ground as needed
• Lift up to 25-50 pounds occasionally
• Use of hands for handling tools and small components
