STUDENT- Marketing and Events Promotion Assistant

Marketing and Events Promotion Assistants play a crucial role in promoting MTD events and ensuring effective communication to potential audience. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can support our marketing and event promotion efforts in a multitude of ways.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and hang up posters around campus, downtown, and other designated locations to promote events
• Edit IC Events Calendar listings, including:
  • Adding custom photos
  • Removing canceled events to keep the calendar up to date
  • Source additional information and graphic material for events
• Send event listings to community notice boards, using a provided list for distribution
• Create initial drafts, proofread, and format concert programs on ProBuilder
• Submit postings of upcoming events to Intercom
• Create event slides for monitors in Whalen, Dillingham, and other areas on campus
• Take photos and videos during events, edit for posting, conduct interviews with performers and attendees
• Film and edit short video interviews for MTD socials
• Assist with posting on MTD socials

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Basic graphic design skills
• Experience shooting and editing photos and videos
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• An ability and willingness to learn

Pay Rate: $15.50
