Overview

Longo Toyota is looking to hire an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to help take care of our 50+ acre campus and ensure it continues to be the best automotive campus in the industry. The ideal candidate will work with our Facilities team to perform general maintenance duties and preventative maintenance to keep our campus in excellent condition at all times.

 

The Facilities Maintenance Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $20.00 and $22.00 plus evening shift differential.

 

*This position is 100% on site at Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA.

Responsibilities

• Maintains heating and plumbing systems.
• Survey’s buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety protocol.
• Paints, repairs roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other parts of the building structure.
• Assembles, installs and/or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing.
• Performs minor landscaping around the facilities.
• Repairs, cleans, and polishes furniture and fixtures.
• Inspects designated areas of the dealership and repairs and cleans when appropriate.
• Performs heavy duty cleaning around the dealership, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
• Moves heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks throughout the dealership, as needed.
• Maintains a record and reports maintenance and repair work performed
• Assist in any maintenance needed around the dealership.
• Maintains high ethical standards in all actions.
• Maintains a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance.
• Available to work nights and weekends 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individual should possess:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Specialized or technical training.
• Previous maintenance experience or related field, desired.
• Ability to determine causes of operating errors in a facility and deciding what to do about it; operate hand and power tools, equipment, and materials used in maintenance and gardening; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language; work well with the public.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.

• Constant standing/walking
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, or crawling
• Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps
• Constant bar equipment usage
• Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine
• Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work around bar area
• Constant receiving detailed information through oral communication
• Constant talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word
