Job Description:
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Aircraft Tech A - Maintenance (Contract) to join our Material and Support Services Team based in Columbus, MS.
Performs schedule and non-scheduled maintenance on UH-72A Lakota helicopters and other airframes as required. Conducts operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems. Diagnoses malfunctions or failures and makes adjustments, repairs or replacements of parts and/or components.
This is a contract position.

On the eastern border of Mississippi you’ll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. It’s here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

Your challenges:
Aircraft Inspections: 70%
- Performs detailed inspections, assembly, installation, repair, replacement, adjustment, and alignment of parts and components.
- Conducts operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems.
Compliance: 20%
- Assures that completed work complies with FAA/Airbus regulations, customer requirements, and company specifications.
- Follows all OSHA, safety and environmental regulations.
- Completes forms and records pertaining to completion of assigned work.
System Troubleshooting: 10%
- Performs troubleshooting to diagnose malfunctions or failures on the following aircraft systems: aircraft equipment furnishings, fire protection, fuel system, hydraulics, landing gear, doors, fuselage, stabilizer, rotor systems, power plant and engine controls.

- High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred
- Trade school
Experience:
Required
- Minimum of four (4) years related experience.
Preferred
- EC145, H145 or UH-72 Experience
Licensure/Certifications:

- FAA A&P License
- EC145 Field Maintenance Course
- Safran Level 1 or Level 2 Completion
Travel Required:
- 5% Domestic and International
Citizenship:
- US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)
