DRC is continuing to grow and is seeking to add Quality Assurance Engineers to our organization. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, this person will work closely with our project and development teams to deliver industry-leading software applications with a focus on accessibility and automation. We are looking for a collaborative partner with a growth mindset with 5+ years of experience in testing web and mobile applications, plus utilizing your knowledge in WCAG 2.2 guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop comprehensive testing strategies
• Create and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Define testing goals and criteria with business analysts and development teams
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and accessibility-focused tests
• Create and maintain automated tests
• Conduct in-depth manual and automated accessibility audits
• Analyze test results and resolve software defects
• Recommend and implement QA best practices
• Ensure compliance with WCAG standards
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and UX/UI designers
• Mentor other team members on accessibility testing
• Integrate accessibility testing into CI/CD pipelines
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of QA testing experience, with 1+ years in accessibility testing
• Strong understanding of WCAG 2.2 guidelines
• Proficiency in test automation frameworks
• Experience with accessibility testing tools (NVDA, JAWS)
• Expertise in web and mobile accessibility testing methodologies
• Create and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Define testing goals and criteria with business analysts and development teams
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Excellent organizational, oral, written, and presentational communication skills to work with all levels of staff and management.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Atlassian, Google suite, and applicable data analytics tools.
• Relate effectively and work respectfully with diverse workgroups.
• Ability to consistently perform well during times of increased workload.
• Set and meet deadlines.
• Manage multiple job functions simultaneously.
• Other duties as needed.
