The Senior Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the company’s financial operations are in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This includes developing and implementing policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and monitoring the company’s compliance with industry standards. The Senior Compliance Specialist will work closely with the company’s legal and operational teams to identify and address potential compliance issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in compliance, preferably in the financial industry
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and the USA PATRIOT Act
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and organized, with strong analytical skills
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues
- Monitor the company’s compliance with industry standards and best practices
- Collaborate with the legal and risk management teams to identify and address potential compliance issues
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related topics (specifically within member support and marketing).
- Prepare reports for management and regulators on the company’s compliance status
