Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Lake Mary, Florida is looking for a Business Systems Analyst – Hybrid Schedule (3 days a week in office).

SUMMARY

The New Generation Systems (NGS) Business Excellence team is responsible for our NGS Strategic Process & System Improvement initiatives supporting the organization’s vision and operational objectives.

 

We are currently looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our team to help develop, simplify, and manage NGS reporting and data tools to fit within our strategic goals and programs.

 

As a Business Systems Analyst, you play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our organization by maintaining and optimizing reporting and various tools for our organization.  Together with our NGS Business Excellence colleagues you will work with NGS cross-functional teams to create processes and tools aimed towards a “the right information at the right time” landscape to improve productivity and efficiency.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support our internal NGS people, process, and systems improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with our Business Excellence team and NGS organization to understand business needs, document and analyze requirements to develop tools and reporting supporting NGS day-to-day business.
  • Responsible to develop, improve and maintain a range of tools, templates, and reports for our organization.
  • Map and maintain current data and reporting landscape as required to ensure consistency across departments.
  • Utilize tools such as PowerBI to analyze data, generate reports, and provide insights to stakeholders about tool utilization, user engagement and process effectiveness.
  • Estimating improvement initiative efforts and setting milestones based on business requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on the use of tools, templates, and reports to ensure consistent use.
  • Maintain and update training material as needed.
  • Be a point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to tools, templates, and reports.
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities of tools, templates, and reports.

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in initiative-taking team efforts and leadership to achieve departmental, company and individual goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to building a positive team spirit reflecting overall awareness of corporate quality perspectives.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, team members and management at all levels.
  • Develop effective presentations as needed.
  • Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of 3rd parties.
  • Always maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity.
  • Travel up to 20%

The level of this position will be determined based on candidate experience.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience as a business/data analyst working with data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working with and creating databases and dashboards using various data sources to make informed decisions.
  • Understand the integration and interaction with different systems and databases and working knowledge of system and DB administration.
  • Technical knowledge regarding data models, database development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Preferred knowledge in the following tools - SharePoint Online, PowerBI, Windchill, Visual Basic, Excel Macros and Unifier. Experience with Tableau or Alteryx a plus.
  • Organized self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  
  • Strategic thinker with proven ability to take ownership, organize and lead improvement initiatives across organizations.
