Your Role
Partner with the Cybersecurity Chief Engineer engineering with a mission to maximize organization effectiveness and efficiency via strategic and tactical initiatives across cybersecurity engineering. Lead and drive product cybersecurity planning and execution to ensure customer requirements are met and internal processes are followed. The Cybersecurity Manager will work closely with customer engineering project teams and other functional team members to execute the defined technical direction, project tracking and performance measurements as it relates to cybersecurity. In your daily job you will:
- Provide technical cybersecurity guidance and oversight for development products, leveraging personal expertise and working knowledge of ISO 21434.
- Proactively manage design and architectures, leveraging up-to-date industry best practices, to effectively mitigate threats in a manner that allows requirements to be met with minimal risk, appropriate security control and allows maximum re-use of both architectural blocks as well as implementations.
- Provide cybersecurity technical expertise and oversight in software, hardware, and manufacturing development activities (including the management of cryptographic keys) throughout the entire product development life-cycle.
- Responsible for the development of cybersecurity plans and work products (Cybersecurity Concept Document, Cybersecurity Plan, Cybersecurity Assurance Document, SEMP, CRMP, etc.).
Your Background
Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:
- 3+ years automotive Tier 1 or OEM cybersecurity experience engineering, operations and program management experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to distill complex topics into a relatable context for non-technical team members.
- Legally able to work in the U.S. without any type of visa sponsorship/transfer now or at any time in the future.
- Previous experience defining and implementing cybersecurity methodologies for a full electronics product delivery.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency and strong follow-through.
- Detail oriented individual with strong organizational concept/capabilities.
- Working level knowledge and experience in the following areas:
- Software security feature implementation in both embedded and network contexts (secure boot, gateways, network isolation, secure updates, etc.)
- Automotive networking (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.) desirable but not required,
- Wireless (cellular, satellite, Bluetooth) protocols,
- Embedded hardware security (Hardware trust anchor / HSM)
- Security in over the air updates.
- Pre-existing knowledge of vehicle architectures, and variations across multiple OEMs is desirable but not required
- Strong problem solving capabilities.
- Bachelor of Science in a Science or Engineering Discipline.
- Ability to properly handle confidential information with discretion.
