What You'll Do:

Responsible for the accuracy and execution of all employee data and everyday Human Resources’ (HR) operations; including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This is a fast-paced, high exposure, hands-on role to help scale Single Digits’ growth.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process bi-weekly, multi-state, domestic and international payroll.
  • Process new hires, separations, and all employee changes.
  • Ensure and maintain accurate and timely employee records within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Provide support and guidance to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Strengthen and improve employee experience programs.
  • Be creative and find new ways to be more efficient and streamline processes.
  • Assist with all HR projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide frequent HR Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), usually through custom reporting.
  • Handle HR compliance items, such as 401k audit, 401k testing, payroll and tax.
  • Daily point of contact for employees related to payroll and benefits.
  • Administrate all employee benefit plans.
  • Review monthly invoices for accuracy.
  • Manage employee inquiries and respond to all questions regarding benefits, systems, company programs, and policies.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.

  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs as needed.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired.

Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience working in a busy HR department.
  • Payroll, Learning & Development, and high-volume Recruiting experience is always a plus.

Knowledge:

  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and HRIS is preferred, especially the Workable and Paylocity systems.
