The Director, Compensation will work in collaboration with Director, Total Rewards, participating in the development and implementation of compensation programs in alignment with Company objectives, guidelines, and policies. Through analysis and research, the Director, Compensation formulates recommendations for various compensation projects and initiatives.

The Director, Compensation will work in collaboration with Director, Total Rewards, participating in the development and implementation of compensation programs in alignment with Company objectives, guidelines, and policies. Through analysis and research, the Director, Compensation formulates recommendations for various compensation projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the strategic direction for the compensation department.
  • Direct the development, design, implementation and administration of compensation, including base salary, short-term and long-term incentives, and salary survey participation. 
  • Manage Executive Compensation programs and other specialized areas of compensation.
  • Direct activities of compensation analysis, including job evaluation, job pricing, FLSA classification, pay equity, and geographic differentials. 
  • Provide guidance to Business Partners and management by providing data, reports, compensation philosophy and pay practices/processes.
  • Lead change management initiatives as it relates to the compensation department.
  • Manage the communication and administration of the annual compensation planning process, and other enterprise-wide projects or initiatives.
  • Manage identified issues to ensure the integrity and accuracy of compensation data, reports and databases. 
  • Collaborate with HRIS staff to ensure the Workday system meets Total Rewards needs and is updated to accommodate changes to salary structures or other compensation-related data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field or equivalent education/experience.
  • Ten or more years of compensation experience, including staff management.
  • Experience in the analysis, design and/or administration of compensation programs
  • Strong math aptitude and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interact with and influence all levels within the organization.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including intermediate to advanced Excel functions.
