Job Summary
The Senior Compensation Analyst provides compensation guidance to internal clients and collaborates with HR partners in the planning, development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs that support the company’s business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain clear, accurate career paths, job architecture and job leveling frameworks that support career progression.
- Guide preparation of job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties, and requirements.
- Analyze, document, and evaluate new and revised jobs to recommend appropriate grade level and FLSA status using market data and internal comparisons to ensure external competitiveness and internal equity.
- Review and assess new hire, promotion, and pay change inquiries and provide consultation and guidance based on internal pay philosophy, market data and pay trends.
- Perform ongoing market analysis of job and compensation data and support annual enterprise-wide market assessments to ensure competitive rates and internal pay parity.
- Participate in the building and maintenance of compensation pay structures.
- Participate in administration of annual performance management, incentive, or salary increase programs.
- Assist in the design and build compensation metrics, reports, and tools to inform compensation program decisions and forecast, report, and/or analyze compensation business outcomes.
- Assists in determining eligibility for participation in compensation programs, such as annual incentive, commission, or merit increase plans.
- Partners closely with HR partners and business leaders in union and non-union locations to ensure a strong understanding of our frontline population, and to proactively recommend solutions that support the business.
- Monitors company programs for compliance with federal, state, and local legislation.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years’ compensation experience required.
- Prior HRIS Compensation module experience.
- Ability to interact/collaborate with leaders and executives on compensation matters.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Prior experience in excel creating analytical analysis of data, including pivot tables, charts and graphs.
- Ability to analyze data and tell a story.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- SAP experience a plus.
- Mathematical skills.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside an office setting to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- Walk short distances.
- Reach above and/or below shoulder.
- Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
- Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
