About the role

The Sr. Director / AVP of Sales at GuideStar Eldercare (GSE) is the driver of the region’s business development activity and success.  Reach monthly goals established by company leadership. Will stay informed with industry/competitor changes and gain expertise in GSE services. Must have demonstrated success in consultative sales and client relationship development with a high attention to detail regarding communication, presentations and territory management and tracking. Proven experience in developing growth/sales plans. Ability to think strategically and understand clients’ needs and effectively close contracts. Must be driven, high energy, and have a passion for GSE mission.

Responsibilities

  • The Sr. Director / AVP of Sales agrees to work as reasonably scheduled by GSE.
  • Prepare monthly, and as needed, reports with data regarding sales metrics, and mission-related objectives.
  • Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving company sales goals.
  • Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement.
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Perform sales processes that drive and meet desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
  • Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions.
  • Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions.
  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
  • Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners to develop key partnerships is a requirement of the position.
  • Must have reliable transportation. (Fleet car will be provided after 90 days)
  • Services provided by the Regional Director of Sales shall be performed in the field.  Travel by car will be required weekly, of which overnight stays may be approximately 0-10% of the time.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7+ Years of experience (required/preferred)
  • Healthcare industry experience required, long term care and/or behavioral health preferred
  • Successful, proven sales experience and results:
  • Develop and implement annual and quarterly strategic sales plan for region to meet established goals
  • Building and growing a sales channel as well as building and managing a territory
  • Monitoring and evaluating progress against goals and sales plan, in addition to aligning and changing behavior with performance expectations.
  • Regularly scheduled meetings/presentations to target accounts
  • Closing multiple sales/contracts to meet requirements by managing relationships and closing strategic opportunities at both facility and corporate level.
  • Utilizing a sales reports/CRM to manage targets, sales tasks, pipeline, and closing data
  • Providing status reports with market and customer feedback to Supervisor and Executive team
  • Demonstrated ability in all aspects of business development including but not limited to lead generation, prospect management, excellent presentation skills, goal oriented, persuasive, closing acumen, collaborative
  • Able to pass background testing, including motor vehicle record review and drug screening.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Active auto insurance policy
  • Must have reliable transportation. Eligible for corporate car upon 90-day evaluation based on performance
