What We Are Looking For:
The Sr. Director of Product Management for Global Communications is dedicated to supporting the world's premier UCaaS, CCaaS, and CPaaS service providers as they integrate communication solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises globally. Reporting to the GM of Product Management in a dynamic, globally-oriented environment, this role involves daily business management and market strategy development. The focus is on maximizing the potential of current products and developing new offerings to increase market share.
The Senior Director of Product Management holds a pivotal leadership position with comprehensive responsibility for the ongoing management of the organization's growth product portfolio, encompassing strategic business planning and the development of effective expansion models. A central focus of this role is to lead the development of AI-driven features across our platform working closely with data scientists and engineers to translate ML capabilities into scalable product experiences. The Senior Director will lead, manage, and mentor a team of product managers, guiding their efforts to identify and prioritize critical customer and market challenges. This prioritization is directly linked to the overarching goal of enhancing the profitability and scope of their respective product portfolios.
The successful individual will be accountable for delivering a strong return on investment (ROI) as outlined in the business plans, exercising full Go-To-Market (GTM) ownership. This includes establishing and tracking key adoption and growth metrics, developing robust financial forecasts, and formulating strategic pricing approaches. A deep and practical understanding of the organization's geographic expansion growth plans is also essential.
The Senior Director's effectiveness is inextricably linked to their ability to forge strong and collaborative partnerships across various departments. This collaboration is crucial for optimizing existing product offerings and driving the development of innovative new products. Key internal partners include Delivery Teams, with a significant emphasis on refining and improving the established GTM framework. This framework involves close coordination with teams in Marketing, Sales, and Operations, as well as effective liaison with Legal, Regulatory, and Finance departments.
What You'll Do:
- Portfolio Ownership: Directly manage a segment of the product portfolio with full profit and loss responsibility for the market offering.
- Functional Leadership: Implement a collaborative, cross-functional framework to align business objectives with initiatives across departments.
- Business Planning & Financial Modeling: Conduct objective market analysis to inform investment decisions and quantify risks through financial models. Collaborate with Product Delivery teams on prioritization and estimation.
- Product Performance & Profitability: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to assess product performance, operational impact, and contribution to profit.
- Portfolio Management: Integrate individual products into a cohesive market-focused portfolio. Manage the portfolio holistically, including business plans, positioning, the buying process, market requirements, marketing plans, and financial planning.
- Go-to-Market & Operationalization: Lead the go-to-market strategies and operationalization for both new and existing products. Serve as the primary internal point of contact, ensuring alignment and understanding among stakeholders (sales, marketing, support, finance, product development) through clear GTM plans and pricing frameworks.
- Team Development: Lead and develop a team of 5+ product managers responsible for global commercial product management across a $340M+ revenue-generating portfolio. Implement development programs to enhance the team's independent capabilities.
