The Travel and Transportation Department is seeking a full-time Program Assistant. The incumbent assists the Assistant Manager in the implementation of policies and procedures and carries out routine and special assignments or projects in addition to performing clerical responsibilities. The Program Assistant works under general supervision and uses judgement in carrying out routine responsibilities within the framework of the department policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
The Program Assistant’s main focus is issuing parking permits, ORCA cards, badging, and brass keys. In addition some or all of the following responsibilities may be performed:
- Assist Manager in the daily implementation of department policies and procedures
- Carry out routine and special assignments or projects
- Serve as department liaison, referring non-routine issues to Manager
- Gather information and produce reports on department performance as requested by Assistant Manager for review
- Make accurate and complete postings to department records and maintain files and filing system in accordance with policies and procedures
- Perform clerical duties to include: outlook e-mail correspondence, data entry, photocopying, submit requisitions to purchase goods through Center procurement
- Answer department phone and provide information within the department guidelines
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED
- Previous experience in a customer service related job
- Familiarity with telephone reception, organizational and filing skills, computer skills (familiarity in Excel and Outlook)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

The hourly pay range for this position is from $21.15 to $30.11 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
