Job Summary:
The Vice President (VP) of Operations at Valley Health Partners Community Health Center (VHPCHC) reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). The VP providers operational leadership and direction for their respective service line at VHP. Organizes and directs the provision of medical practice services for Valley Health Partners Community Health Center VHPCHC. The VP is a senior level leader, responsible for developing and scaling programs within the service line, enforcing policies and procedures within the service line, and identifying opportunities for adoption, integration, efficiencies, optimization, and growth in partnership with clinical dyad leader. The VP will ensure all quality, regulatory, and compliance standards are met within the service line. The VP is responsible for achieving the financial and operational goals of the service line. Works with and through operational and clinical leadership team structure to provide tactical oversight and direction within their scope of responsibility including the areas of finance such as budgets, revenue cycle, and expenses; strategic planning, business plan development; marketing; and advancement of clinical division and/or practice services as well as evaluating the quality and effectiveness of services provided.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field is required. Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience: At least two years of experience overseeing an entire healthcare service line required. FQHC experience preferred; Public health experience preferred. Experience in Women's, Children's, or Dental Service Line preferred.
Training: Experience extracting data from financial and EMR systems required.
Special Skills:
Strong leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity and influence. Good understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues. A solid grasp of data analysis, process improvement, and performance metrics. Ability to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time. Ability to interact diplomatically with the public. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Essential Functions:
Collaborates with the leadership team in setting service line vision, operational strategy and talent needs.
- Develops actionable business plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term business objectives.
- Develops and implements effective tools to identify and improve operational efficiencies and fiscal vigor.
- Participates in the development, project management, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and streamlined processes.
- Ensure teams are working to the top of their respective scope.
- Directs operational coordination and planning to support care that is patient centric and efficient.
Leads the performance management process that measures and evaluates progress against goals for VHP.
- Develops and implements systems for reporting, measurement, and supporting revenue generation.
- Monitors performance with tracking and establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting.
- Applies an intersectional racial equity lens when developing strategies, designing systems, and cultivating culture.
- Analyzes internal operations and identify areas of process improvement.
Oversees an entire healthcare service line, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met.
- Leads and manages the operations team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Assures compliance of all HRSA program requirements.
- Adheres to federal, state, and local requirements, enforcing compliance and takes action, when necessary.
- Ensures effective systems, processes and performance management arrangements are in place to deliver high standards of performance and the quality of patient services.
- Promotes and lives the values of VHP and fosters a culture which enables and motivates staff to deliver outstanding care to our patients and customers.
