Job's mission
As a Senior New Product Manufacturing Engineer, you will be at the heart of driving the commercialization of next-gen semiconductor technologies, such as atomic layer deposition (ALD) and epitaxy, at our Phoenix, AZ facility. With your 5-7 years of experience, you will apply Design for Excellence (DFx) principles to ensure scalability, high quality, and cost efficiency for cutting-edge wafer fabrication tools. You’ll collaborate with design engineering teams to accelerate the development of innovative, manufacturing-ready solutions. Join us in pushing the boundaries of semiconductor equipment.
What you will be working on:
-
Apply DFx methodologies (Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, Test, and Cost) to optimize designs for scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
-
Guide design engineering teams to align their approaches with manufacturability goals, ensuring faster commercialization of new products.
-
Develop and validate manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures from prototype to pilot production.
-
Identify and resolve potential challenges in manufacturing, assembly, and testing to maintain high-quality standards and meet cost objectives.
-
Partner with cross-functional teams in supply chain, quality, and operations to ensure production timelines and deliverables align.
-
Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and reduce costs for advanced semiconductor equipment.
-
Provide hands-on technical expertise in prototyping, pilot builds, and early production phases.
-
Maintain a positive, proactive attitude, inspiring your team to succeed in a dynamic, high-tech environment.
What we are looking for:
-
Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Engineering, preferably in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or similar fields.
-
5-7 years of experience in new product introduction or manufacturing engineering, preferably in semiconductor equipment or high-tech industries.
-
Expertise in DFx principles (Manufacturing, Assembly, Test, Cost), particularly for complex systems like ALD or epitaxy tools.
-
Proven ability to guide design engineering teams towards manufacturing-optimized solutions.
-
Experience in developing processes for high-precision equipment, from prototype to production scale.
-
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
-
A proactive, positive mindset that thrives on change and innovation.
What sets you apart:
Semiconductor-Focused Skills: Experience with semiconductor process troubleshooting (ALD, CVD, or epitaxy), including optimizing chamber conditions or vacuum systems.
-
Familiarity with cleanroom protocols or contamination control in wafer processing environments.
-
Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) to monitor yield or equipment performance.
-
Non-Semiconductor-Focused Skills:
-
Proficiency in welding (e.g., TIG, MIG, or arc welding) for custom fabrication or prototype assembly.
-
Hands-on experience with CNC machines, lathes, or mills for rapid prototyping.
-
Experience using SAP S/4HANA, Power BI, or Tableau for data-driven process optimization.
-
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for managing production workflows or inventory.
-
Mechanical or electrical hobbies (e.g., modifying RC cars, building custom furniture with embedded electronics, etc.).
-
Automotive restoration, home renovation projects, or woodworking/metalworking showcasing hands-on problem-solving and creativity.
-
Apply today to be part of what’s next.
