As an Oracle Database Administrator, you’ll join our dynamic Global Database Infrastructure team. You will work as a liaison between the technical and business teams, and interface with Value Stream developers to recommend best database practices.  You’ll be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our Oracle database infrastructure.    

What you will do:

  • Design, implement, and maintain Oracle database systems to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security

  • Perform database tuning and optimization to maximize system performance and efficiency

  • Defining problems and problem-solving mind by generating alternative solutions

  • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability

  • Monitor database systems and proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime

  • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues

  • Stay current with Oracle database technologies and best practices to recommend and implement improvements

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the database team

What you will bring:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) or Oracle Database Developer

  • Deep understanding of Oracle database architecture, including Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and Oracle Grid Infrastructure

  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming languages

  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques

  • Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

  • Interpersonal skills and interaction with business developers is a must

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field

What you will set you apart:

  • Understanding Golden Gate or AWS Quantum Ledger is a plus

  • Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) preferred but not required
