About The Role
As the Senior Analyst, FP&A, you will support the Commercial and Finance departments and will serve as a key partner in the development and execution of company growth plans. You will help lead the company’s annual business planning process, monthly reporting and analysis, provide decision support by developing & monitoring companywide metrics, and driving strategic initiatives. This role will report into the Senior Manager, FP&A.
Responsibilities include:
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
- Lead the monthly sales and profit forecast process for key sales channels and businesses and provide insightful financial analysis of business results against the budget and previous year
- Support Finance Leadership in the execution of the annual plan, working cross-functionally to collect, understand and review key business needs for the upcoming year
- Assist accounting on monthly financial close preparation by reviewing key P&L line items to ensure accuracy
- Support the CFO and senior management with financial analysis, ad-hoc reporting and executive level presentations
- Maintain and Improve cash forecasting and analysis on a regular basis and find the areas in which cash could be used more efficiently
Decision Support
- Manage channel and business P&L’s and provide insights and financial data to leadership to ensure optimal performance is reached
- Analyze current and past trends of key performance indicators (including all areas of the P&L), highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances
- Assist in resource planning, including forecasting the demand for resources, planning for needs, and maximizing the productivity of existing resources
- Identify key business performance risks, issues, and opportunities on a regular basis and highlight them to management
Business Intelligence & Metrics
- Serve as point of contact in investigating and evaluating ad hoc business questions
- Work with the Data and Commercial teams to create reports and BI dashboard to support decision making
- Understand competitive landscape, including business strategies, cost structures, and key business metrics
Qualifications & Experience
- 4-6 years of FP&A or Corporate Finance experience
- Expert at Excel modeling
- Experience designing and maintaining financial models and reports
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial statements
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Highly analytical with the ability to translate large amounts of data and information into strategic and actionable insights and business recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate financial topics to non-finance people
- Proven ability to multitask and work with cross-functional teams
- Experience with BI and Finance tools a plus (NetSuite, Looker, Google Analytics, etc.)
- Experience in CPG (Beauty, Fashion, Wellness, etc.) a plus but not required
