PAY AND FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT (FLSA) STATUS:

Pay Range:  517

Hourly Rate:  $37.61 - $57.53

FLSA Status:  Exempt

The normal starting pay for this position is the minimum of the pay range listed above. A higher rate of pay may be considered, dependent on the qualifications and experience of the selected applicant and/or the City’s step placement policy.

POSITION DESIGNATION

DEPARTMENTAL INFORMATION

The Engineering Division’s Paving section provides pavement management services for Oklahoma City roads and sidewalks. This position is a supervisory position and focuses on utilities cuts, breaks, and repairs. The position also supports projects that include coordinating intergovernmental funding for street projects, recommending pavement repairs and improvements, and reviewing sidewalk and street construction contracts along with utilizing data from the Pavement Management System. 

JOB SUMMARY

This position is located in the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department within the City of Oklahoma City and is under the direction a supervisor. The primary purpose of this classification is to provide specialized management or operations support to various departmental work divisions. Senior Project Managers are also responsible for implementing department program functions and policies, coordinating operations activities, and planning major projects. Essential job functions include: assigning, prioritizing, and monitoring work projects both in house and at field locations; assisting in the preparation and assessment of budgets and goals and objectives; writing specifications for needed equipment, materials, supplies, services, etc.; reviewing contract bids or proposals to determine the best supplier; reviewing federal, state, and local standards and regulations to ensure compliance with various legal and policy guidelines; monitoring oper
